SLD

Special Education: Specific Learning Disability

Twin Lakes special education SLD program is designed to serve students who are identified under MN State Criteria to fall into one of two categories. These categories are Specific Learning Disability (SLD) or Other Health Disability (OHD). Individual student needs, goals, and services are determined by the IEP team. A continuum of services is offered ranging from pullout small group instruction, collaborative mainstream models, to team teaching between general, special and/or related support staff.

For further information regarding criteria for SLD or OHD, please consult the district's special education website or contact the school.

Twin Lakes Elementary has four full-time SLD teachers who work collaboratively to meet the needs of all learners. If you should have questions or concerns please feel free to contact one of our teachers.
